Jimmy Sund

Landscape Designer

Jimmy received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of

Washington, Seattle. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he knew early on that he needed to pursue a career restoring and protecting our endangered ecosystem. Jimmy’s passion for ecological and habitat restoration, community-based planning, horticulture, and research led him to the field of landscape architecture. He believes that landscape can be an intersection for ecological resilience and social equity, with  the goal of providing all communities a closer

connection to nature. Jimmy likes to spend his free time playing in the garden, working in the garage on his car, or in the Olympic mountains hiking and backpacking, always looking for a new alpine lake to swim in.

Problem Solving

We take the challenges and ideas that our clients have for their site and push ourselves to meet their needs with the most successful, innovative, and sustainable methods possible. We use a site’s biggest constraint in a way that transforms it into its greatest asset. We do not believe in inflicting elements onto a site that are incompatible with its surroundings. The overall aesthetic and function of a site will be as appropriate and seamless as possible with the encompassing environment and borrowed backdrops - be they woods, beachfront, or urban settings.
